Q: Is a travel permit required for exhibition games played outside the Zone even though the team we are playing against is in our League?
A: Yes. All Exhibition and Tournament games played outside the Zone require a travel permit. This permit can be obtain on-line, through your L.M.H.A., and must be applied for no later than 3:00 PM on the Thursday prior to travel. Failure to obtain a travel permit could result in future travel privileges being denied not only for your team but for the whole association.
Q: If a Player, Coach, Manager, Trainer, Stick-boy, or any other team official receives a Game Misconduct in the last 10 minutes of a game, does he/she receive a suspension even though the Referee does not write-up a game report?
A: Yes. As per Hockey Alberta Regulation 13.4 which reads:
"In all Minor Hockey, any Player or Team Official who is assessed a Minor
Penalty and a Game Misconduct or a Major and a Game Misconduct or any
other infraction resulting in a Game Misconduct/Gross Misconduct
penalty, that occurs in the last ten (10) minutes of regular time or any
overtime, or at the conclusion of the game and prior to the Player or Team
Official entering his/her dressing room, shall automatically be suspended
for a minimum of the next regular League/Playoff/Tournament/Provincials Game.
This is in addition to any other suspensions directed by HA Minor Hockey Minimum Suspensions."
